Welcome to Sweet Home

Wood provides security
The popularity of wood is increasing in line with the demand for innovative living. Sweet Home is Denmark’s leading wooden house manufacturer. The main reason for this is that we have taken it upon ourselves to manufacture houses that provide quality of life and security.
Warm in winter – cool in summer
Wood is a good natural insulating material. This characteristic prevents heat loss in winter and protects the interior from high outside temperatures in summer. We exploit this advantage and reinforce the effect with our special outside wall structure, in which we have installed two levels of additional thermal insulation. This results in lower heating costs.
Selected materials from approved suppliers
We always do our best to keep the cost of materials down. This means that you get the best value for your money. A considerable part of the building material is produced in-house, and we always work together with tried and trusted suppliers. The logs come from the forests of the extreme north of Sweden and Finland. The trees grow slowly here because of the cold climate, meaning that the wood is hard and resistant. We only buy wood from forestry companies that have been environmentally certified and plant two new trees for every one that is felled. Additional confirmation of the quality of the wood that we use comes from the Danish Technological Institute. Analyses carried out by this institute revealed that softwood from the forests in the extreme north of Scandinavia is extremely resistant to the effects of the changing climate.
Inspirational photo gallery
You will find many pictures and photographs of our wooden houses in our gallery. We hope that this provides you with an interesting source of inspiration (Photo Gallery). Unfortunately the picture captions are only available in German. However, we think that the many pictures speak for themselves…
Overview of our wooden houses
At Sweet Home you can choose between single storey and multi storey wooden houses, and holiday homes made from wood. If you don’t find your dream home among our basic models, we and our architects can help you to plan it (Houses). Unfortunately these pages are also in German. However, they contain photographs and detailed layout plans.

Small wood construction lexicon:
Wooden house
If you decide to build a wooden house from Sweet Home, you are not just getting an individual house but doing something for the environment. Our wooden houses require significantly less energy than brick houses and are cheaper to heat. Another benefit is that the CO2 emissions are less than those of conventional brick-built houses.
Cabin
As well as having a natural look, cabins also provide modern insulation. They consist of logs that are stacked on top of each other, which are round or square depending on the model. The advantage of cabins is the natural material – wood, a sustainable raw material. The favourable characteristics of wood also provide a pleasant and comfortable living climate.
Sweden house
Nordic Sweden houses are no longer exclusive to Sweden. They can now be found in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. The layout of Sweet Home Sweden houses is so flexible that this type of house can be used as a holiday home or residence for two families. Many Swedes like to paint the planking of these wooden houses red. The white windows with glazing bars that are traditionally used in these houses are also available, of course.
Prefabricated house
Prefabricated houses are made from prefabricated elements. These are usually made in large factories belonging to the manufacturer and are then assembled on site. The walls can be erected within a matter of hours, and internal finishing work can follow immediately. Prefabricated houses are usually chosen because they are cheaper than conventional brick-built houses.
